![]() A Journey to Rediscover Your Source at Chuan Spa
June 2005, Hong Kong --- Perched at the top of Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok, Hong Kong, Chuan Spa has become a haven of luxurious, oriental pampering and wellbeing. Guided by the pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Chuan Spa seeks to provide not only conventional treatments, but a holistic, regenerating journey that nurtures, heals and restores. Our focus at Chuan Spa is to support the three treasures namely: Jing known as our life force; Qi (pronounced Chee) known as our vital energy and Shen known as our mind and spirit through our signature treatments that promote rest and relaxation and mental well-being. Keeping in line with tradition, our treatments are guided by the TCM pillars of Wu Xing (the Five Elements), Yin & Yang and Jing Luo (the Meridian System). "At Chuan Spa, our guests experience not only a single treatment, but a sojourn that triggers the re-birth and re-balancing of the being. Assisting our guests in the journey to restore balance and harmony in life is an essential part of any Chuan Spa experience" stated Mr. Brett Butcher, Managing Director of Langham Place Hotel. The journey to 'rediscover your source' begins once you step through the Moon Gate on the 41st floor sanctuary. Our therapist will take guests through a Five Elements questionnaire to determine which element is out of balance and tailor-make each individual package. As a prelude, our guests can enjoy the delights of a sauna, steam and Oriental hot tub before decending along a candle lined staircase to the exquisite treatment rooms. Here, guests are escorted to their spacious, private treatment room to enjoy the exclusive treatments. The pampering does not end here. Guests can retreat to our relaxation haven where they will continue to relax to the sounds of gentle music while sipping into a specially selected Chuan Five elements tea. "The entire Chuan Spa journey is supported by a selection of over 60 holistic treatments in the most exquisite settings. The moment you step into Chuan Spa, the hectic pace of city life is left behind. At this sanctuary for the senses, our guests will attain balance and wellness in body, mind and soul," said Mr. Barry White, Manager of Chuan Spa - Health and Wellbeing. One of Chuan Spa's signature treatments is Serenity Shen. This three-hour treatment begins with a stone therapy massage, followed by a long soak in a private hot tub. The ultimate facial indulgence awaits, with blended essential oils and a revitalizing cool marine algae mask. The serenity is completed with a Chinese inspired spa snack and herbal Chuan tea in the private suite. A range of healing and calming oils and body care products drawing on the powers of the five elements - wood - fire - earth - metal and water, have been created exclusively for Chuan Spa. Blending the best from the east with the best from the west, Chuan spa is delighted to also offer our guests Thalgo. Thalgo treatments and products draw their richness from the marine universe, which complements our flowing water theme - Chuan. A wide selection of spa treatments suitable for every skin type that are renowned for their detoxifying, firming and general well-being results are available. Occupying the top three floors and more than 15,000 square feet of the all new Langham Place Hotel, Chuan Spa offers a menu with over 60 individual treatment, massages and wellness therapies.
