YIN MEETS YANG - FIRE MEETS ICE: OPPOSITES ATTRACT AT CHUAN SPA IN CELEBRATION OF EARTH HOUR

16 March 2010

Chuan Spa at Langham Place hotel in Hong Kong has launched Fire and Ice, a special Earth Hour treatment. The treatment also promises to soothe your social conscience with HK$150 from each session donated to WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) to help with their global warming campaign.

The 90-minute treatment, created in consultation with Traditional Chinese Medicine therapists, allows for balance between yin and yang through the use of symbolic hot stones and iced crystal gemstones.

Chuan Spa manager, Sheryl Wan says: “The fire and ice theme came about after we looked at the impact of global warming on earth – we see weather extremities like never before. The hot stones and iced gems are symbolic of these environmental changes – but also central to the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.”

The full body, face and scalp treatment uses comfortable temperature extremities and deep massage techniques to achieve inner balance and a greater depth of relaxation.

In conjunction with Earth Hour, the treatment is only available until 31 March 2010. The 90-minute treatment costs HK$1,500 with HK$150 from each treatment going to WWF.

Reservations can be made by phoning 3552 3510 or emailing hkg.lph.chuanspa@langhamhotels.com.
