24 February 2010 If Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of those mysterious wonders that fascinates you but also scares you a little, Langham Place’s Chuan Spa has the perfect solution with their new TCM Tuesdays starting 2 March. The spa is offering free TCM consultations with their qualified doctor every Tuesday to all clients who indulge in a TCM inspired treatment. A consultation with Chuan Spa’s doctor is normally priced at $600 but will be free on Tuesdays. Dr Gladys Leung is able to provide a full health consultation and diagnose on all concerns such as body pain, stress, insomnia, indigestion, weight issues and skin problems. She will then provide a prescription to assist with optimal health. Prescriptions could be for medicine, medicinal soups, teas, acupuncture, Ho Guan (cupping) or moxibustion. All can be offered in the blissfully peaceful Chuan Spa environment. Chuan Spa offers more than 60 treatments, most of which have been inspired by the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The spa combines Wu Xing (the Five Elements), Yin and Yang and Jing Luo (the Meridian System) to help clients reach ultimate harmony, relaxation and balance. Chuan Spa manager, Sheryl Wan says: “Our priority is to offer our customers a true haven in oriental luxurious pampering. Traditional Chinese Medicine, with its 5,000 years of research, provides a powerful foundation enabling us to look for clues in the individual to provide optimal balance of the body's contrasting elements.” TCM Tuesdays runs from 1pm – 6pm until further notice.
