4 March 2009 Chuan Spa is holding a free public workshop on how Traditional Chinese Medicine can combat common spring illnesses. The workshop, ‘TCM at Spring’, will be held at Langham Place hotel at 6.30pm on 18 March and will be presented in both English and Cantonese. According to TCM, a strong liver will keep you fighting fit throughout spring. Find out how your liver is holding up at this relaxed workshop led by Chuan Spa’s TCM doctor Kelly Chain. You’ll get some basic theory, handy tips, and the opportunity to participate in qigong and acupuncture demonstrations. “We find a lot of people are really interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine but have never experienced it at a spa level. The workshops we hold are fun but informative,” says Sheryl Wan, Chuan Spa manager. Chuan Spa was founded on the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and combines TCM’s holistic approach with luxury to rest and rejuvenate the mind, body and soul. The TCM at Spring workshop follows on from earlier TCM workshops: TCM at Work, TCM at Home, and TCM at Play. Light refreshments will be served and guest numbers at the workshop are limited. Reservations are essential and can be made by phoning 3552 3510 or emailing hkg.lph.info@chuanspa.com.
